Nature Blue Heron in flight

Almost a really good photo. Good lighting, exposure, focus, wing position, even a few drops of water from the feet and a hint of wing reflection in the water... but I missed about one inch of the front of the beak. Oh well - keep trying - maybe next time. I added a static shot from just before he took off.

Sorry it does matter that extra inch...

It took me lots of hours to master those "hunting" skills. I learned the hard way, just like you: always leave the space in the front of taking off bird. They are ridiculously fast.
