Thank you both. Colors went really crazy that evening, but the fiery reds only lasted for less than a minute. Here are couple more shots from a bit earlier.

I stayed a night at Ashford Castle two summers ago, and took a boat tour of the lake the following morning. Magnificent spot.

Connemara is a photography paradise! I spent a week there in a remote fishing cottage 2 years ago. In the 80's when I was a kid my late father and I hired out a rowing boat on Lough Corrib and I still have the photos from it. Great photos are yours by the way!!! ��

Wow, looks too plush for a peasant like me however I had no complaints about the fishing cottage outside Clifden as I could hike into the mountains from the location. Following the river back in darkness was sheer bliss and watching the sunrise from the cottage with ambient music going is heaven for me.
