Loch Ness Milestone
Posted By: Kerrowdown, 07-11-2018, 08:53 AM

As this is a milestone posting for me... 36000, (who'd of thought it when I joined here some ten years ago now) I'd just like to repost what is my avatar, my first PEG acceptance and the image that still appears today on the back of my business cards.

It's been quite a successful image for me this one, it was originally taken in mind to promote the Rock Ness Festival, as it's actually overlooking the original festival site and looking down the Loch towards the old Kerrowdown...

I always like to think of the Loch, as being one of the original seven "Wonders Of The World", but apparently the old "classic" World, hadn't heard of the place.

A beautiful photograph of a beautiful place.... Loch Ness . It's the kind of photograph that I wish I had taken. My wife's great grandfather was born and lived in Dingwall...not too far from Loch Ness. He was a gardener for a Laird...I don't know the Laird's name and of course this was many, many years ago.

I've been to Loch Ness a number of times, always keeping a sharp eye out for you know what....

BTW, I'm quite good at keeping one eye on the road...and the other eye on the Loch, but I don't recommend...nor do I condone that practice for the typical driver.

I'll give you the nod where it was taken, you'll have to wait years no doubt to get the right light and weather.

I'll tell her you were asking after her... when I give her breakfast tomorrow.

You know you could end up stuck with divergent strabismus, exotropia or wall eyed, if the wind changes direction.

You're welcome. A wonderful photograph, I bet that being on your business card, it has cemented many a deal for you, when customers can see first hand the exceptional quality of your work.

I'll give you the nod where it was taken, you'll have to wait years no doubt to get the right light and weather.

I have a feeling that if I wait on the shores for the right conditions...there will probably be some long term Nessie watchers there to provide company.

I'll tell her you were asking after her... when I give her breakfast tomorrow.

If she's scaly, green, slimy, about forty feet long and elusive...then that's the one !

I wear bifocals that are corrected for all those eye conditions.

I was told many years ago that my condition went beyond what they can correct for.
