Images from the annual chalk art festival.
The white lines are parking spaces. Each artist (and there are some true artists here) is given a space in the parking lot and three days to complete their work.

Someone told me that they use a special chalk that doesn't wash away. On Saturday night we got so much rain here that there was flash flooding. Sunday morning the art was still there in all its glory. Some of the art (the butterflies were some) is designed in 3D so that spectators can walk/stand/sit on it and have their pictures taken as part of the artwork.
