I've never seen so many cormorants at one time. Nice catch.

That is a lot of Cormorants, and all up in the trees and not down on the rocks? Was there a predator nearby or do they commonly hang out in the trees in this area? I always see them hanging around the docks and pilings near the ocean here in Maine.

We were driving back from the coast and noticed them in the trees on the other side of the river. Happened to be a place to pull over. I have no idea why there were so many up in the trees. I just figured they do that sometimes.

We see a few cormorants in trees here but I never see that many . One hint for birds is not to be on the lower limbs due to filth from above .
