Picture of the new Sigam 70-200 on my K10
Posted By: Jimbo, 09-16-2008, 09:02 AM

Someone had asked for a picture of my new Sigam 70-200 2.8 Macro on my camera. Used the old P&S and took this picture. Cheers JIMBO

Thanks Jimbo! Now I would like to see some pictures that you have taken with it. Especially with a link to the full size images for scrutiny of the lens resolution.

Edit: Oops! I found the other thread with the photos.

Tom, if you send me a PM with your e mail address I can make up a Elements 6 photo gallery showing my pictures taken with this lens. Once I complete and load, it will send you a notice of the link. I do at times loose some solution on the compressed pictures done here. I think I posted three separate thread her on pictures I posted with this lens. I have many more. JIM

JIMBO, you're the man. That thing looks dangerous! Nothing like walking around with a hand cannon (two n's, not one...:-O)

Thanks for posting that, I appreciate it. I want this lens more and more every day. (no thanks to your previous posts I might add).

BTW.. I do know what you mean by the Cannon [two n's... ] If anything people think you are series about photo's with this one around your neck! so far so good but only really had a day or two to play around... I really like the DOF on this one... and it focuses so fast and quiet... will post a couple of more soon. Cheers and take care. JIMBO

I'm thinking this is the one I'm going to get for pics of the grandkids at their school functions (among other things ). Have you had a chance to shoot indoors at full tele with low light?

I'd be interested in those shooting conditions as well. I would be using this in churches a lot, weddings and such. The 50-135 does great, but I'd love a little more length without loosing the 2.8.....enter the sigma!
