I just bought a used K10d so here's some photos from today
Posted By: pasipasi, 09-16-2008, 01:21 PM

Of course I immediately mounted the FA50 and my af280t flash and started shooting. It was already dark outside when I got home from work, so maybe tomorrow I can head outside to shoot some yellow and red trees

The used body is one year old and has 9000 shots taken. I've had my K100d Super for a year now and I'm quite happy to see a larger viewfinder and the extra buttons and better menus but I'm also quite annoyed about the sd card door, it's hard to open. From the shots I've taken I think the extra 4 mpix are put to good use, but my computer now seems even slower as there is 67% more pixels to process.

Good first shots, the lady looks surprised.
The SD card door has to be like that because of the sealing.

Yeah I figured that much

Other things I've noticed comparing the K100ds and K10d:
  • The shutter sound seems to be a bit quieter and a lot softer, making it much more pleasant on the K10d
  • I can't hear the sensor moving due to SR so easily, sealed body keeping noise inside?
  • Extra ISO steps are great but not having 3200 is not

Lack is ISO 3200 is just about the only con I can think of. Everything else is just better. I love how easy the manual WB adjustment is for example, and I just couldn't live without the extra controls anymore.
