Considering the "35mm equiv" focal length of your lens, this monument must be really large!

It is huge! Built in memory of queen Victoria of England!

Well this is a colonial era monument, when India was under British occupation! It's in Kolkata (Calcutta)

I don't think Britain ever had an empress. Although the meaning of the word queen and empress are one and the same! But the head of the British empire was never referred to as emperor or empress!
