Taken towards the Glengarriff end of the Kenmare to Glengarriff road, which the She Who Must Be Obeyed, says she is never going to drive again, its kind of narrow and fairly twisty, though not exceptionally so, it would have been an altogether different driving experience if we had gone in the morning, the tourist coaches drive from Glengarriff towards Kenmare and Kilarney in the afternoon and guaranteed we met one on every bend. You can't stop where you'd like to, you're confined to a handy gap or gateway. This is a fairly typical scene, what interests me is the forces that were at work to form the hills in the background and in the left hand valley.

Interesting and beautiful place. There is a lot in common between there and mountains in Scandinavia. I must travel more around the UK.
