Yes they do, in the Cup series. The Grand National cars are using Mustang bodies now.

A typical Cup engine is producing around 700 horsepower, depending on the track. At superspeedways they are using a restrictor plate which dramatically reduces the power output.

The crate engines in the cars I shot at Pacific Raceways are more like around 400 horsepower or so.
