The distortion caused by using a long lens makes the car look a tad strange, but this still a fine photo.

Colorful is the word - and this is just the way a car should look shot with a telephoto.

I owned an E46 325i Sport (bought new in '03). Aside from the sport package and (then) optional sun roof, it was a basic car as Bimmers go. Lots of fun - so much I'm still driving a Bimmer today.
