A hen that's been hanging around with her 8 poults. They help themselves to blueberries and spilt bird seed under the feeders.

Thanks for the comment. There is quite a large flock nearby that make quite a racket every morning as they leave the trees where they roost at night. Luckily not close enough to bother us.

That bird must be used to you since they are famous for great eyesight .

She is. We've spent the last 10 days shooing her and her kids away from the blueberry bushes. And our dog Cider is no help because he learned as a pup not to harass turkeys because we used to raise and sell Heritage Turkeys on the farm.

Poor confused puppy! Turkeys can be annoying when they won't leave the blueberry fields when it is time to rake. They can get rambunctious and only fly away after hunting season starts.

We see the local flock here and there year round. Except around Thanksgiving and Christmas.

I think they are such goofy creatures... Occasionally I'll see one sprinting across the road on my way to work and I can't help but laugh
