Beautiful portrait.

I don’t know anything about infrared so I don’t see how this differs from black and white. Can you point out to me why you would choose to do it that way and what I should be looking for. I used to not see chromatic aberration and had to have a friend point it out, I still can’t fix it but I can see it now. Thanks in advance for the lesson

Infrared is different in many ways compared to normal color photo. But it is not the reason I shoot infrared portraits. It is just hobby - 2 in 1, because I like infrared landscapes and portraiture.
But I should say about the differences. In infrared there are no skin spots, freckles, acne, skin imbalances, wrinkles are milder, the face looks younger when older people are shooting. Very often the eyes look creepy, this gives a peculiar mood to the photo.
The folliage, grass are white.
There is possibility to make false color picture. The same in color...
