Big Ugly Dude
Lens: 06 Camera: Q-7 ISO: 500 Shutter Speed: 1/350s Aperture: F40
Posted By: reh321, 08-02-2018, 01:06 PM

I was out doing yard work a few minutes ago, when I suddenly found this ugly creature sitting on my tools, so I did the natural thing - I put him on the hood of my car and reached for the Q-7 in my pocket. I pressed the shutter button, and pressed the shutter button, and pressed the shutter button, but nothing happened. Then I discovered the Mode button had shifted and I was taking video instead of being in 'P' mode as I expected. So this is the one still image I got of him before he disappeared.

This is why I don't want video on my still camera.

It is too confusing for me.

While hiking with my K-3 I experienced a " malfunction" which was caused by my thumb pressing on the red video button . I was frantic about my camera being trashed , , then finally saw the problem sixty seconds later.

Thank you for your information. He was really fast - I was hoping for a head shot, but I was lucky to keep him in view, let alone figure out which direction he was facing at any moment. Next time I may try to photograph him in situ, because he seemed to be momentarily confused.

Fortunately he was not deadly to me! If he had moved towards me during the time I spent trying to get the stupid thing to "shoot", I would have been a goner if he were!!
