Trees in the Rocks
Lens: Sigma 10-20mm Camera: Pentax K-30

From a forest in West Virginia best known for its rock formations. This is UWA at its best.

Yes, this is a very moist place as you can see from all the "extra" green - the ferns, and the moss, and the lichen.

I purchased my first Sigma 10-20mm back when I was a Canon Rebel user, because I was having trouble taking some photos I wanted in museums; the lens was listed in eBay under the title "When you can't back up anymore" - which perfectly described my situation. Since then I have come to appreciate the benefits of not backing up, even if I could; backing up often puts what I call "trash" into the photo {fences, boardwalks, etc}, while UWA puts those things behind me while giving a much more intimate view of the scene.
