Sitting on a Rock on the Bay
Lens: Voigtlander SL58/1.4 Camera: Pentax K-1 Photo Location: Kingston, Tasmania ISO: 100 Shutter Speed: 1/320s Aperture: F6.3

Readers of a certain age should get the allusion :

I strapped the little Voigtländer SL58/1.4 onto my K-1 and went for a walk today. It was (for here) a balmy 18ºC winter's day, and this lonely soul decided to make themselves King of the Castle for a short while. The little rock sculpture offshore from the rock added a nice touch, I thought.

I've often thought the colouring of the Voigtländer rendered photos a little on the cool side, but it probably suits this scene.

I'm obviously of that certain age and it makes a nice image. Interesting place for a seat though. I presume it is not cut off a high tide.

You’d want to bring your waders or a good book and a flashlight.

Actually, it’s on the Derwent Estuary, so the tides wouldn’t be too troublesome.

I agree that seems cool toned, but as you say that seems to fit. Well done.

Sadly, I can’t claim it as my own, but I’ll accept royalties for promoting it.

Thank you. It’s a shame this lens is only available secondhand, these days.

Thank you. It cried out to me when I saw it. I think you’re correct about the size – the combination of the K-1 and the SL is particularly nice when it comes to detail, I think. The link to my Flickr account will show it better on a good monitor, though it does well enough on my iPad.

I'm glad I didn't disappoint.

I just amazed nobody else beat me to it, I nearly posted it hours ago but refrained.

Just to cap this little aside, here I am sitting in my regular coffee shop enjoying the ambience, and what comes on the Spotify feed from the owner’s audio system? Zen. Maybe I should buy a lottery ticket (or enter a camera giveaway competition).
