I had hoped to get lightning on this outing, but knew that if I didn't, I'd at least get an interesting sky. I think there was lightening later on, but also a torrential downpour and being in a large field with nothing else around is a bit disconcerting when the storm is directly overhead. Shot as a small panorama.

I find it a lot more than "nice", myself.

Another nice one with a hint of menace in the weather this time.

Thanks! I'd love to visit Scotland one day! Being a Murray, I've spent a lot of time reading about our family and heritage. Although, even though being a Murray, recent DNA analyses revealed that we're something like 69% Norwegian. Found that to be an interesting result.
Kamloops has some storms like this, and usually more so in the spring and closer to fall. But we are a semi arid desert so they aren't as frequent as elsewhere.

The Vikings were not without influence over here...genetic tests over here showed similar results in the Orkney and Shetland islands...I hope you get across the pond to see your ancestral roots.

A strong image with simple elements: cabin, grass, storm. Wonderful light in the foreground, getting sucked up by the clouds. Great drama. Thanks.

A cracking image.

As my learned colleague photomax7 has already mentioned, you've borrowed one of our skies and we do want it back.
