Classic "In the Mirror" Self-Portraits.. a mini-gallery
Posted By: Artymous, 02-24-2007, 11:14 PM

I haven't taken any self-portraits in awhile.. so threw the Tamron 28-75mm on the ol' *ist Ds and grabbed a few classic "in the mirror" shots.

I always try to make them a little different and amusing. I liked this one off the bat.. gives an air of mystery.

I'm thinking that I'd like to see everyone else try a unique "In the Mirror" self-portrait. Try to be as original as you can, have fun with it, and let's see how many different looks we can come up with shall we?

Hey Buddy! I've come to the reluctant conclusion that neither your nor I should hold our breath waiting to win a beauty contest. Of course we have nice personalities . . . . . .

DSLR with the FA 50 1.4 on AF and Sigma super DG flash on a short tripod in front of me. 12 second delay to allow me to pick up my ZX-5n body and the lens. If I'd been thinking I would have angled the lens towards where the camera was in the mirror instead of straignt into the mirror. But I liked the weird shadows the flash cast.

Does this mean that I won't supplant Pierce Brosnan in the hearts of women everywhere? :cries:
But I have to disagree with you, you might be good looking if you weren't so mean in that photo. Me on the other hand....well we won't go there

You can see the cam & the lens, f/2.8, 1/15s, ISO100
