Classic "In the Mirror" Self-Portraits.. a mini-gallery
Posted By: Artymous, 02-24-2007, 11:14 PM

I haven't taken any self-portraits in awhile.. so threw the Tamron 28-75mm on the ol' *ist Ds and grabbed a few classic "in the mirror" shots.

I always try to make them a little different and amusing. I liked this one off the bat.. gives an air of mystery.

I'm thinking that I'd like to see everyone else try a unique "In the Mirror" self-portrait. Try to be as original as you can, have fun with it, and let's see how many different looks we can come up with shall we?

Mine is a bit shabby

This was taken a few minutes ago. Not a great one but it will do.

Forgot to reset the white balance to tungsten lighting - the terrible orange hue...

I'm normally not this serious . . . .

. . . . . and usually better lookin'. Taken a few weeks ago with K10D, ISO 400, A*85/1.4 @ f/5.6 and 1/8s.

I hope this doesn't end up in another thread (polluting one is enough!); I thought I posted it a few minutes ago but it never appeared (???).

If you ever, ever.. EVER want to let go of that A*85 f/1.4.. let me know. I'll go into debt with whoever it takes in order to own one... it's almost a key lens for my future Natural Light Child Photography business.

Artyste, check with the incoming equipment at KEH. Every once in a while they will list one coming in. What you do then is give them your e-mail, and if you are the first one on the list that wants it when it comes in they give you first crack at it. That's how I got my K 50 f1.2. TWO! A 85 1.4's have come thru in the last several weeks but unfortunately other people got to them b4 me. :cries:

NaCl(it was probably a Good Thing because what I really want is a 12-24 and I am not able to afford both)H2O

Jer, you should have captioned this "You better smile...or else!"

Or maybe "I think I might just really shoot someone!

NaCl(and he wonders why people run away when he gets out his camera! )H2O
