Kamloops Winter
Lens: 14mm Camera: K3II Photo Location: Kamloops ISO: 100 Shutter Speed: Above 6s Aperture: F9

You've seen a bunch of pretty sunsets and spring storms from my city of Kamloops, but none of winter yet.
Winters here are very gray and dull. We often don't see much blue sky for 3-4 months of the year. This night was much the same, but I needed to be creative and knew the low clouds would help add to this image.
The constant gray is also why I took up snowflake photography.

If the weather is continual gray, photography when lights are on makes a lot of sense - adds color to the photo

Beautiful! I love how the color of the lights play against the white of the snow.

Thank you
I did a lot of work to the snow to make it white. There was a fugly orange light nearby and I hate orange lights that cause the surrounding foreground to glow orange. So the foreground got a lot of WB adjustments and saturation adjustments to get rid of that orange.

The blue lights make it look like that's the life blood of the city. I love it.
