I really like your composition, making great use of what I'd normally call negative space, but in this case it has some interesting detail in it that's on the opposite side of the frame to the main subject. That works really well. Also appealing is the limited range of bold, well-saturated colours - red, and green. That's striking. And you nailed the focus on those peppers (?).
I wouldn't worry about the sharpening artefact... Obviously it's ideal if you can avoid this, but I've seen worse, and some people get way too obsessive about such things. A nice photograph is a nice photograph... and
