Nature Weeds??

Our Neighborhood Association made us neaten up our property, so I took this photo before I removed the "offending plant".

Not sure what kind of weed it is but nice and sharp with good color.

Too bad they have to clean up the weeds, the native bugs and bees love the native plants. Maybe it’s a thistle?

Yes, I believe this is some kind of thistle plant - but this isn't Scotland, and they aren't welcome here {and I doubt if they are native here either, even though bees and other insects do seem to love them}.
