Inverted dining

Drilling for bugs while upside down may not be too difficult for this hairy woodpecker but safety glasses might be handy ?

This is a good photo of a woodpecker. I've noticed that they hang from this kind of angle even when eating suet from our bird feeder.

Some birds travel down a tree trunk headfirst while searching for food. Thanks for the generous comments .
