A playground without children seems so dead.

Shoot a photo with children these days and you can end up dead. I try to avoid people altogether. Believe in practicing safe photography.

Lot of respect for street photographers.

No children were harmed in the making of this photograph. Perhaps I should have titled this one "Merry-go-round" to set a more cheerful tone for viewers?

True, my post-processing was intended to be somewhat dark and mysterious, but I did not mean to set off tears over the missing children.

I like the mysterious look. A playground at night is even more creepily atmospheric.

The children have all grown up. They now have rewarding careers, and are in stable, long-term relationships. They live in a free country with universal health care.

Now that we can stop worrying about the children, does anybody like the photograph?

Yes, deserted playgrounds can be a bit eerie. They have been used to create a sense of threat or suspense in some movies. The trees are the finishing touch here. All you need is a bit of police tape to finesse the shot.
