Doesn't look like what I would expect of Athens - but I guess my expectations are a couple thousand years out of date

I'm not sure if they are locals or refugees, in the streets you can see both locals and refugees homeless ppl. It doesn't matter anyway.

What did you expect to see in a country with financial crisis that also is a refugee sheltter? At least is still a safe place to visit cause criminality is very low. There are more commercial places to visit though, monuments, islands, many meuseums etc

A very strong image. I like the way the homeless have been separated from the world going on around them. Unfortunately, every country in the Western world seems to have significant numbers of homeless people these days, for many different reasons.
