Lester A Dine 105mm Lens and Point Flash
Posted By: acbees, 09-18-2008, 12:58 PM

Been practicing at using other than onboard flash in macros. Here's some assorted shots I took at the beeyard the other day. Used a variation of "deejjjaaaa's homemade handy dandy Dannon yogurt diffuser" on the Dine point flash. All have varying degrees of PP and cropping, ISO 100, around f/22-f/16, 1/90- 1/125 sec., 1:1-1:2 range, hand held.

Crop of some find of fungus?

Very nice shots! The second is definitely my favourite! The last one looks like a real nice sample of a lichen (which is an inseparable symbiosis of a fungi and an algae).

gawan,
Thanks for the comment and the identification of the lichen. I figured someone on here might know.
Not much for what I'd call "artsy" kind of stuff, but saw this the same day and just couldn't pass it up. Wasn't going to post it, but what the heck.

Nice work Arvin. The fungus #4 is definately my favourite, followed closely by #2.
