How did you do this without blowing out the highlights in the building?

I had the intervallometer set to 10s exposures. The building was lit outside by a streetlamp and inside it was dark. To have light in the building I went from room to room and switched on the lamps for a short time.
For the final image I stacked 10 images aligned on the foreground and if I remember well about 50 images aligned on the stars with the software Astro Pixel Processor.
Then foreground and stars were composed to one image in Photoshop.
