I like the black and white version better - the purplish background on the top one throws me a little bit.

I used the "Candy Colors" processing preset in DXO but the overall tone isn't much different than it was - just a little brighter. The OOF area is a bunch of things blending together into that.

I would vote for color version. The only advice - to reduce the saturation of the blue
