Thank you. I tried to get a kinda modern grim to the image to reflect the sadder past...

Beautiful photo...almost stark...the lone tree on the hilltop. Bonsai like.

I like the clouds, the upward angle of the picture...simple, elegant.

The empty swing enhances the photo.

As to the past history...unfortunately a different story and it must of been in the quite distant past given, the former use.

Wonder how old (approximately) this tree is ?

Well done image, indeed stark, with the incongruous swing changing the entire effect. The clouds contrasting with the greens of the tree and ground cover provides the perfect background, way better than a blank blue sky. I find it fascinating. Thanks.

Another nice shot. I presume it really was used for hanging in the past (not just an urban myth). If it was, the swing makes it almost a prop for a horror movie.

I've not witnessed any if that's what you mean, so none recently, mind you I have a few in mind who could easily qualify...

I was going to mention how the empty swing and the gloomy clouds over head give the photo a ominous and sad feeling. But it seems more astute viewers beat me to the punch.

Lovely photo Kerrowdown.
