Moose and Bear go mushroom hunting.
Lens: DFA 100 macro Camera: K-1 Photo Location: South Algonquin Township ISO: 100 Aperture: F8
Posted By: normhead, 08-26-2018, 06:43 PM

K-1 and DFA 100 macro
100 ISO, ƒ8, AV

All images shot at ƒ2.8, ƒ4 and ƒ2.8, only one ƒ2.8 image made the cut.

B W Bear saw so many mushrooms on his "looking for birds" walk he told his friend Moose about them. Moose is a big fan of mushrooms and decided to join him for an outing. These excursions are so much more fun when you have company.

And a bonus toad the size of the nail on your pinky, discovered while setting up for one of the images.

Clcik on any image to see the whole series.

I really enjoyed your series. The moose and bear have a lot of personality.

That's brilliant Norm, you found a way to turn macro shots of mushrooms, moss and lichen into pictures with a story. Hopefully no one saw you setting up your little figurines in the woods, so no one has an excuse to have you evaluated; I'm still smirking at how well these photos turned out, thanks for sharing.

Amazing how a slightly different angle changes the looks on their faces.

In 10 years walking these woods I've run into 1 other person. It's pretty unlikely I'll be committed anytime soon. Well, at least not because of these photo shoots.

Mr. Toad seems to be keeping an open eye on your two friends.

This is a nice scripted multi-media story - worthy of Rupert if he had done such a thing.

What a cute series! How did the figures drag home all those mushrooms?

He didn't seem to mind me all that much. He shifted positions a few times but didn't really make an effort to get await.

Ruoert liked my dog images, I don't remember him commenting on moose and bear. Maybe I needed a ceramic squirrel for Rupert.

We leave the mushrooms in place on the odd chance a reshoot is required. But maybe I should buy them a little mushroom truck.

That might help, along with a couple of axes and some other heavy gear - gloves, perhaps.
