Its always a challenge to get a good portrait of my six year old grandson as he is in constant motion, but I managed to get him to sit still for 1/125 of second




Shot with the FA 50mm F1.4 at F1.4.

I managed to get his eye nicely in focus, and as you can see the DOF was razor thin.

I was also playing around with testing bokeh using Christmas tree light and managed this capture which I thought was cute.

I think you did very well getting him to stand still for 1/125 second. With my two, when they were that age, I needed 1/2000 from the flash.
