Little Black Leaf Miner
Lens: DFA 100mm Macro WR Camera: K-3ii Photo Location: Berlin ISO: 200 Shutter Speed: 1/125s Aperture: F5.6

Had to ask an entomologist what kind of bee this was!

It's the size of a honey bee, but entirely black!

It was just hanging out on my oregano, drying off after a quick summer shower.



One of my favorite things is sitting by my garden beds with the DFA 100mm macro. Rain or shine; no bother!

Very well detailed, I quite like it.
I'll need to get myself one of those lenses

Great shot! I am like you, I love to just sit in or stroll around my yard to see what new is there to photograph.

I have gotten some stare-downs before while laying in the grass, army crawling towards my pumpkin vine at 6am to get the right shot of a honey bee that just landed...

Amazing details. Macro makes every yard a safari adventure.
