The weather and moon finally decided to cooperate. Still not the best astrophotography conditions though.

Fun isn't it? I see those quite a bit too.

My wife always thinks they're neat so I've saved a few. I just LOVE restacking everything after paging through to remove the pesky thing. :P
I do like watching the southern satellites drift through my live view though for some reason.

Quite fun. Mind you, my fast 50 runs into trouble when I try to capture constellations. The big dipper barely fits into frame.

Not the object that you want see in your astrophotos. The enemies of the night. This is a great capture of one of these pests. Thanks.

Amusingly, I intended to capture the "little pest" since I'm still lacking ideal conditions. This was taken shortly after moonrise (about 2 1/2 hours after sunset) so I knew that it wouldn't get any darker than this tonight.

Of course, the "space debris" in the upper left was a nice bonus.

Santa's braking the traffic laws again – you should only use hazard warning lights when stopped or slow moving.

Yep. And now you can answer the question of the frequency that they blink at.

Nah. I missed that a few nights earlier. A 50mm can only cover so much of the night sky at once.

Well, he was in the slow lane of the air corridor.
