Ruby-Throated Hummingbird [Archilochus colubris] ♀
Lens: SMC Pentax-DA* 300mm f4 ED [IF] SDM Camera: Pentax K-1 Photo Location: Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu ISO: 640 Shutter Speed: 1/500s Aperture: F5.6

This afternoon, I sat on a chair with a couple of beers, waiting for the Humms to visit the flowers...
Quite relaxing moments in between the shots... but when it comes, one needs to be alrt! They are not evident to follow!

Among others, here's one, that is quite heavily cropped, but I found the scene quite interesting.

Pentax K-1 + SMC Pentax-DA* 300mm f4 ED [IF] SDM
1/500s, ƒ/5.6, ISO 640 @ 300mm

Taken from behind, but with always the eye in focus thru the wing in movement...

Fabulous shot. I love the way the wing is blurred and partially, but not totally, obscures the head. It really brings focus to the eye, beak and flower. And you absolutely nailed focus, especially given the shallow depth of field.

Very well captured indeed!
