A thoroughly soaked and miserable House Finch takes shelter on the ledge outside my kitchen window this morning as torrential rains continue to flood Central Pennsylvania. Almost asked him in, but it's warm out.

My roof has a wide overhang so he wasn't getting rained on anymore; but the birds were trying to use my feeder in that major rainfall and were getting soaked.. Had a couple of sparrows join him on the ledge a bit later.

Love that third one, what an expression! I might try cropping out the foreground window sill, to see how that looks. Anyway, good eye!
