Brilliant shot Norm! He looks like he wants to say something to you. Or at least tap on your door!

I can't hold this in any longer, this thread is begging for some poetry.

Open here I flung the shutter, when, with many a flirt and flutter,
In there stepped a stately Raven of the saintly days of yore;

Not the least obeisance made he; not a minute stopped or stayed he;

But, with mien of lord or lady, perched above my chamber door—

Perched upon a bust of Pallas just above my chamber door—

Perched, and sat, and nothing more.

Great feather and eye details. They are fascinating birds.

Nice portrait, a little offbeat... I really like the effect.

He was saying.... "I know you have food somewhere... why are you holding back."

Tess and I both wrote poetry when we met. Then we got happy. That ruined the poetry.

hmmmm.. really, I was just trying to make the eye as large as possible. SO I cropped it to the size of my monitor, 2650x1600, making it a 1:1 pixel peeper.

fortunately for Edgar Allan Poe, he was able to avoid being spoilt by happiness. I second the great portrait comment, your raven is a natural model.

It's nice the raven cooperated - not being spooked like troika's "Sheryl" -
then you and your K-1 did the rest.

You get a chance like this, you go back the next day prepared and ready, which is what happened here. I like the day 1 images, but day 2 with the A*200 and K-1 were to die for.

Tess is on a trip down south with our vehicle, so I can't get the 40 clicks over to where this guy hangs out, SO maybe not for a while.
