Night Game
Posted By: GeoJerry, 09-12-2018, 10:54 PM

A night game, taken an hour so after a previous post. Here I layered in some stars to try and give the real feel of what it looked like. In the stands there I could see the stars, but I couldn't get an image like this with one frame. So in a sense I think the composite is a truer image of what I really saw. Should the image reflect only the photons captured on the sensor, or should it record as well as possible what the eye could see?

Nicely done. This demonstrates the great skill of the grounds keepers as the true stars of the moment. This is an iconic record in it's self.

This is a really nice shot! The black background with the stars makes the ballpark look like it is floating in space.
