Holy Roller
Posted By: Eastern Shore Charlie, 09-21-2008, 03:31 PM

Saw this scene today and I knew I would like it in B&W. Mean looking Holy Roller isn't he I parked across the street from him and shot a couple shots with the DA 55-300. When I rode by him to go home the AC/DC song "Highway to Hell" was playing on my radio. How ironic was that or am I just a sinner going to Hell.....

Sadly, he seems more wrapped up in avoiding sin than in pursuing the presence of God; or at least that is the impression the picture gives.

No sparing the rod with old Amos here....

He looks so much like my stepfather it ain't funny. Especially that look!!! I saw it a lot when JCD would get home and my chores were not done! I do miss him though....

That is a very witty capture. I think it is a good street photography

When are these people going to join the 21st century.
The sign on his chest should be LED or something showing a rotation of translations and/or religions (for the progressive nut jobs).
There should be a tickertape going across the bottom of the sign announcing latest news of natural disasters attributed to high concentrations of sinners.

You captured a true piece of Americana there.
