Very nice, Rob. You certainly have the magic touch with birds (at least the feathered ones).

This is the first time I've laid eyes on one of these but It's safe to say they don't sit still for long . Thanks for sending .

Thank you! I certainly can't claim to have a magic touch with the other kind!

It depends on how long it takes to spot the next bug from their vantage point. They didn't like me getting close, so most of my photos didn't have anything like this resolution. Patience paid off!

Thank you! The DFA 150-450 is a beast to shoot hand-held, but it's worth it!

Saw these a few times in Terrick Terrick NP, but never so detailed. Lovely!

Thanks - usually, male Flame Robins pop up at a distance and they're hard to get close to. I was patient and stood around for a while until they got used to me presence, and one got close enough. I have a couple of other nice poses, but this one certainly is the best for detail. The first time I saw one was at Barrington Tops - at quite a distance.

The Australian Robins are quite colourful; Flame, Rose, Yellow, and Scarlet.

Thank you! I should go back this weekend and see if they have returned to the mountains.
