Does that cardboard placard mean this was a special display?
They certainly found a lovely place for it.

there was a car show at fort adams, newport ri
this past sunday... they had vehicles of all years and types.... i'd never seen something like this before...)

I also wondered about the crank start. Certainly by 1944 all vehicles had starters and did not have to rely on unreliable magnetos to get the engine moving. Very nicely put together photograph.
