Catching it standing on the camera is a good way of showing how truly small it is.

Great photograph. I am impressed that this bird landed on a hard surface. Typically they will not land on the ground as their tiny legs are too weak to allow them to walk. Thanks so much for posting.

I wonder how rare hummingbirds standing on Pentax dSLRs is, compared to Canikon? Most of the young, Asian hummingbirds, I'm led to believe are perching on mirrorless, full-frame Sonys these days.

Ricoh has been totally ignoring the wishes of the hummingbird market for some time now.

(Oh yeah - Nice capture!)
