Seacombe Bay at sunset
Lens: Leica Summarit-S 35mm Camera: Leica S (Typ 007) ISO: 100 Shutter Speed: 3s Aperture: F16
Posted By: The Madshutter, 09-28-2018, 01:26 AM

One of Dorset's most spectacular bays is Seacombe Bay, here portrayed at sunset. It takes a very pleasant 30 min downhill walk to get there, and the place is so amazing that it makes the walk back, all uphill, a breeze! Leica S (Typ 007), Leica Summarit-S 35mm and Formatt-Hitech Firecrest filters.

Thank you for viewing, best regards

Vieri

Just planning my trip to the western coast of Ireland next year.
Hope to see something like this there. Thumbs up.

Lovely composition and color rendering...
I like that you didn't oversaturate it, like I've seen a lot lately in sunset landscapes.

Nice work!

Beautiful photo!. I really like that the exposure didn't smooth the water too much, just the right amount.

Thank you very much Todd, glad you liked it! About the water, I think that in fine-art landscape photography there is a place both for the ultra-long exposure and for shorter, more "active" exposures: here the scene was a good case for the latter, and I am glad you agree with my choice.

Connemara in Co.Galway is a landscape photographer's heaven, as is most of the 'Wild Atlantic Way'. Another bonus are the dark sky areas and sites. Dingle is exceptionally touristy whilst other areas are not, for example, County Donegal and County Mayo. Donegal has some of the finest beaches in the world. What a pity I live on the East coast and need to drive over to the West coast for the best landscapes!

Thank you very much, glad you enjoyed it! Leicas are great, but so are Pentax, Hasselblads etc... as long as you are comfortable with your tools!

Best regards,

Vieri
