These are pics taken at my granddaughter's soccer game. I tried some in raw and some in jpeg. I now see why everyone is such a fan of raw.

I still have lots to learn, but here's my first attempts... C&C most welcome!

For some reason, these never look as clear on this forum as they do on my computer.

I don't see why they say Pentax is not good for action shots.

Thanks! I think it has to be my favorite too. I laughed out loud when I put it on the computer. I'd love to know what the "disagreement" was about.

Really good stuff. #2 & 3 are my favorites. The young man in #2 should really be careful about about standing in kicking range.........

That's one of the things I love about photography. You get to see things you might otherwise have missed. #2 reminds me of a Norman Rockwell kinda thing. #3 reminds me that little girls aren't always sugar and spice!

#2 - Me thinks that lad looks like a bully
#3 - Did the ref whistle!!! Looks like a foul for attacking from behind.

The B&W is Excellent conversion AND catch.

Thanks! I just found out that the lad is the principle's son! Too funny. No whistle on the other shot... I guess the ref didn't have a Pentax to catch it.

I'm not sure why they say Pentax is not good for shooting action shots. I was pretty pleased with the way they turned out. Here's one more.

I think my next lens purchase will be the Sigma 70-200 2.8. I'm still waiting for Jimbo to quit his job and take an indoor pic at full tele before I decide (hope he doesn't make me wait too long

Nice start. I love the bw one too. That is a priceless capture. Keep shooting the games. They're a lot of fun.
