Updated website with DA 40 Samples
Posted By: grcolts, 02-26-2007, 07:02 AM

Hello everyone,
Yesterday I updated my website with several DA 40 lens samples.
I know several of you wanted to see images taken with the DA 40 so I put some up there for viewing. BTW, this lens is fast becoming one of my favorite Pentax lens. I like it!
Let me know what you think.

Thanks.

You've got some beautiful colors in those shots!

Although I rarely use this lens because of redundancy, I've always found it to be a great performer. The 9 aperture blades definitely improve bokeh over most other DA's

Thanks for your comments!
I find the K10 and the DA 40 a great combination although I would like to eventually add a wider lens such as the DA 21.

As much as I like the DA pancake, I think it doesn't look too great when mounted on an SLR. Almost looks like a very cheesy P&S...

I prefer carrying around larger lenses like my FA* 80-200 (favorite) or FA 50 macro, but I can't complain about the quality of the smaller lenses one bit. Just look at how much better the DA pancake is over its M predecessor in terms of image quality!

I was looking at one picture, and I thought "Ooh, beautiful silhouettes of the trees against a darkening sky!" Then thought "Did you have two hot pixels on your camera?" Looked at the title, "Venus and Mercury" Great shot!

DA Photo Pic

You scared me there for a moment with those hot pixel comments!
Since purchasing my K10 I have nothing but praise for that camera.
I do dread the day I have to clean ths senor though. Hopefully, this anti-dust thing will work for a long time!
