Night Cringles Tower

Hello,

This is my first post on the Pentax Forums. I've been using Pentax cameras for around 10 years now but haven't really given astrophotography a go before up until around 2 months ago.

This was taken last weekend and it's what I would call my first "decent" astrophotography image...

Living in Keighley and courting my wife who lived in Ilkley over 40 years ago, I must admit I have never seen this tower with such a backdrop! Congratulations on picking such a subject on a night where clouds and light contamination obliged you so well. A beautiful capture. I'm jealous!
Note to self, must keep my eyes open, especially at night time!

I've seen it on many occasions over the past few years and thought it'd make a good shot. I'm glad you like it and don't be jealous, you'll have to bring yourself here again and see if you can capture something similar!

Very nice. I too am trying astrophotoraphy, but the weather and my time have not cooperated.
