The Eastern Veil Nebula in full spectrum
Camera: Pentax K-01 ISO: 1600 Shutter Speed: Above 6s Aperture: F4.8
Posted By: VoiceOfReason, 10-09-2018, 01:45 PM

I took this on Sunday night with my full spectrum K-01 and an Explore Scientific David Levy Comet Hunter mounted on an iOptron IEQ45 mount. Since I accidentally glued the mode dial when I put it back on it is stuck in M mode, so I could only do 30 seconds. Still, I did 140 of them using the internal intervalometer in the camera and then stacked and processed them. I think it turned out okay, though it could use more integration.

Quite good, a lot of effort, 70 minutes worth just at the scope!
Did you use filters (Ha etc)?

Nope, no filters at all. The full spectrum mod means I got a lot of Ha.
