Thank you. I tweak the technique daily trying to find the right settings mixture. Thank Pentax for TAV Mode. The shutter speed and ISO are a near given when freezing the speeds of these types of birds (1/1600 to 1/2000, ISO 3200 to 6400). The amount of available light and its consistency makes or breaks the F Stop. I rarely get to shoot at F8, usually F4 or wider. Bokeh "its not your friend" at the wider apertures when trying to sustain the bird's details. That being said, I accept whats in and out of focus as intended. I'm more concerned with the freezing of action, but should light permit I would prefer to shoot regularly at F4 to F8.
