This is the peak of Cock mountain. The sheep herd on the left ran off to the next mountain, very sheepish chaps they are

I remember this walk fondly despite a dangerous descent of Spelga mountain before this easy bit. 18km walk, 7 peaks and never met anyone else as it was all off the beaten track. Last 2 hours in darkness with the headlamp on. Less than 1 hour drive from Belfast city when there isn't any traffic.

Thanks, I always go hiking for the sunset and back in the dark. The dark provides astro and moonscape opportunities. Most hikers are going home when I'm starting out.
