Night Astro Photography Trials

I recently went camping so I decided to try out some astro photography. I don't have much experience in that aspect of photography but please feel free to comment, make suggestions or just tell me which one you like better.

All feedback and tips are appreciated.

The first one was taken with the 31mm. The 2nd one was taken with the 24-70 (at 24mm) and a Surefire flashlight (I gently brushed the trees with my flashlight as it was on the timer to make the tree more visible).

Both photos were taken in Bandera Texas.

Thanks David! This is one of my first real attempts to do this kind of stuff.

I guess I could do it more often but just haven't.
