Architecture Charles W. Morgan

The Charles W. Morgan is a whaler docked in Mystic Seaport, Connecticut, and is one of the oldest sailing vessels in the United States. (I think only the USS Constitution is older?)

Great shot of the Morgan. We were at Mystic a couple of years ago (one of several visits over the decades) - really wonderful place for one with a nautical bent such as me. And you're right - Old Ironsides was built for the Navy in the late 18th century; the Morgan was a whaler that was built (IIRC) in the 1840s.

Thanks Jer! I just missed a visit to Old Ironsides, but at least saw it from a distance. Next time...

Thanks very much Todd! We were lucky to see a crew reenacting a day in the life on the high seas.

really nice warm colours work really well with this composition! very interesting shot! well done

I like the intricacies of the rigging. The colors help too. Almost like parchment.
